2024 Litters

"Savvy"
NSTRA CH-Ghost Point's Savannah
X
"Sileaux"
NAVHDA NA 1 UT 1-Bachman Bay Immobulus

Savvy

Savvy is an exceptionally talented dog from our Moxie x Odin breeding. She is a big running, hard charging, bird dog with eye popping style and intensity. She has a huge nose, fantastic search, natural retrieve, natural honor, and is very loving and cooperative. Like her brother Riggs, she was finding, pointing, and retrieving wild birds like a pro before she was even a year old.  The only thing more impressive than her ability on wild birds, might be her prospects in field trials. She is already a NSTRA Open Champion and at less than 2 years old, she is the youngest GWP champion in NSTRA history. She was also the Indiana Region NSTRA High Point Champion in her first season. She has serious ground speed and is able to move effortlessly across the field. Coupled with quick and snappy moves, she can hit a bird with jaw-dropping style. Even though she is ferocious in the field, she has a great off switch just like her mother. She is biddable, sweet, and affectionate. She is a smaller framed dog and is good looking with a tight coat and great furnishings. She is OFA certified for thyroid and tested well through PennHip at  R .30 L .25. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this little girl.

"Riggs"
NSTRA Am Ch-Ghost Point's Lethal Weapon
Twigg
Twigg is simply a natural bird dog. She is very cooperative with a huge nose and perfect natural retrieve. Eager to please and a joy to train.  She is one of those dogs that just finds birds. She is a medium to close range hunter and very durable. She also loves the water, has a great coat, good looks, and is OFA certified.  She is out of two of our foundation dogs, Tubbs and Cici. They are some of the best bird dogs we have ever had. Both are NAVHDA NA Prize I 112 dogs and NSTRA Champions. Twigg has produced some great pups in her first 2 litters and we think this cross could be special. She and Riggs are two of our most natural wild bird dogs we anticipate these pups will be bird dogs right out of the box.

Riggs

Riggs is a truly special talent. He quickly set himself apart at a very young age by pointing, handling, and retrieving wild birds at just 5 months old. Just like his parents, Odin and Moxie, and his littermate Savvy, his natural ability shined with almost no training whatsoever. And now, at not even 2 years old, he has already become the complete package.  His ability to find, point, and handle wild birds is exceptional, and he pairs that with a relentless retrieve and fantastic pursuit on cripples. He has a big nose and a fantastic search with a high head. Then when he needs to, he can put his nose to the ground and track very well. He loves the water and loves to work. And he does all this with great style and intensity. He has a good harsh coat and has proven to be very durable. He has also proven to be a great field trial prospect by quickly becoming a NSTRA Am Champion. His PennHip score is in the top 5% of the breed at L .20 R .20. He is OFA certified for thyroid. Riggs is from a line of dogs that produces elite talent, and we are very excited to see what he can add to the breed.

She has a very good nose, solid point, good retrieve, and loves the water. She also has one of the most durable coats we have ever seen. Spud was bred at Bone Point Kennels in Oregon and is owned by Kent Dickerson of Missouri.

Spud is a dog that has had the luxury of hunting almost every upland species in North America, and he has excelled at all of them. He is one of those dogs that is just a great wild bird dog. He hunts hard, has an excellent nose, and is cautious on game. He always find a lot of birds, and he handles them very well. Spud posesses a very high level of cooperation and trainability. Spud is also a strong water dog that retrieves several ducks and geese every year.

Kent did not have much experience testing in NAVHDA, yet he was able to put a UT prize I on Spud before 2 years old, a testament to Spud's unique combination of drive and cooperation, and also to Kent's abilty as a trainer. We would like to thank Kent and Kelly Jobes for all their help facilitating this special breeding.

IMG_0385.jpg
Moxie is an incredibly talented young female. In her first hunting season, she successfully hunted 6 different species of birds in 5 states and handled them like a pro. She made it to the front of my string at a very young age. Her drive, style and nose are simply off the charts. She has a very big run and can go all day and then some. She also has the biggest “off switch” I’ve ever seen. She loves the water and has a natural retrieve. She is already a NSTRA Am Champion, NSTRA Open Champion, and the best field trial prospect I have seen. Everyone who has seen her hunt, immediately recognized she is something special. She is also very well bred being line bred on her sire “Wilson”, who was an AKC National Champion and her dam is a UFTA Champion. She is health tested through OFA. Her first litter produced some fantastic prospects and we expect the same from this breeding.

We feel this cross brings together two very elite and talented bird dogs. We can't wait to see what they produce.  Pups will only be considered for hunting, trialing, or testing homes. Shipping is available. Limited deposits available. We expect this litter in late March 2023.

"Baker"

Baker is a great looking young male with a very good pedigree and we are excited about his future. The first word that comes to mind when describing Baker is natural. He has a natural point, back, and retrieve. With very little formal training he went on his first bird hunting trip and I was getting limits over him by himself in a few days. He is the most natural retriever I’ve ever seen. His marking ability is something to see with a natural delivery to hand. He is a hard working hunter, ranging 100-250 yards depending on the cover. He is very durable, hunting 10-15 days straight without breaking down in any way. He has an ideal coat that is short and dense with great furnishings. Baker is a very friendly loving dog , he is a favorite of my kids. He has hunted many species in many states and lots of tough terrain. He goes out and gets them pointed no matter where I take him. He is just a bird dog.  Baker is also OFA certified.

This is a repeat breeding and “Natural” is obviously the theme of this litter. We expect these pups to be plug and play. Whatever your game is, be it hunting or testing, these pups should be able to do it all, be a pleasure to train, and look good doing it. We are looking to place these pups in hunting, testing, or trialing homes where their talents will shine. Shipping is available.  We expect this litter sometime in late February 2023.
